Restricted

Casino, sportsbook and affiliate traffic, bought either inside the platforms' permitted set — which requires certification and a licence valid per country — or outside it with the account risk that carries. We say which one applies before launch.

Two ways to buy this, and they are not interchangeable

The authorised route exists. Meta and Google both allow gambling advertising in a defined list of countries, subject to an application, certification, and a licence valid in each market you want to target. Where you qualify, this is ordinary media buying with an unusually long setup, and the account is about as stable as any other.

The unauthorised route also exists, is much larger, and is where most operators actually work. It is not the same product. Assets are consumable, the cost of a mistake is the asset rather than the week, and the operational discipline described on our Meta Ads page stops being good practice and becomes the entire business. We will tell you which of the two you are buying, in writing, before anything launches.

What decides the answer

  • Licence and jurisdiction. Which regulator, valid in which markets, held by which entity. This determines the eligible country list, not preference.
  • The offer. Casino, sportsbook, poker and affiliate media are treated differently by platforms and by regulators, and a portfolio spanning several is not one campaign.
  • The market. Regulated markets police advertising aggressively and increasingly restrict what may be said even by licensed operators. Grey markets have no such rules and no protection either.

Where the traffic actually comes from

Paid social carries volume and burns assets. Search carries intent and is heavily gated. SEO carries neither restriction, which is why affiliate operators built an entire industry on it — and why our SEO work is usually the recommendation for anyone who intends to still be here in two years. Most serious setups run all three, weighted by how much account churn the business can absorb.

What we will not do

Advertise an unlicensed operator into a regulated market. The exposure lands on you, not on the agency, and the fine is larger than the campaign.
